Singapore-based furniture brand Castlery, founded in 2013 and now a global B Corp certified label, has launched a new mattress collection, Ayrie, priced between S$999 and S$2,199. The move aims to address sleep deprivation in Singapore, the world’s third most sleep-deprived city. Singapore’s sleep challenges stem from factors like tropical humidity, long working hours, and high-stress lifestyles, making quality rest a rare luxury.
A Mattress Designed for Warmer Climates
The Ayrie collection is engineered for warmer climates, featuring a cooling top system with a TENCEL Lyocell cover, medium-density foam, and gel-infused memory foam. Unlike many direct-to-consumer mattresses, Ayrie mattresses are delivered uncompressed, ensuring immediate use without the wait for expansion. This approach ensures structural integrity right out of the wrapper, eliminating compression stress on the internal materials and saving buyers from waiting up to 72 hours for a rolled mattress to fully expand before use.
Each mattress includes a supportive core of responsive foam, individually wrapped pocket springs designed to isolate motion transfer, and a durable foundation foam base. Customers can choose from three firmness levels: the 6-layer Ayrie (from S$999), offering a hybrid firm feel; the 7-layer Ayrie Comfort (from S$1,799), with a medium-firm build; and the 7-layer Ayrie Plush (from S$2,199), providing a medium feel. All materials are CertiPUR-US certified, free of fibreglass, and the covers are OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring safety and quality. Each mattress comes with a 10-year warranty.

A Complete Sleep Ecosystem
Castlery has expanded its sleep offerings beyond mattresses. The Miyo Bed (from S$899) features customisable headboards and an adaptive gas-lift storage system that adjusts automatically to the weight of the mattress, ensuring effortless under-bed storage. For smaller spaces, the Mia Bed (from S$599) offers a streamlined design with rounded edges and a cushioned headboard.
Additional sleep accessories include a Lyocell Mattress Protector (from S$99), hypoallergenic Mulberry Silk Pillowcases (from S$149), and expanded bedding series in Luxe Egyptian Cotton Sateen, Cool Lyocell Sateen, and Classic Cotton Percale, available in new colorways.
Putting the Mattress to the Test
To demonstrate the Ayrie mattress’s effectiveness, Castlery has launched the Bad Sleeper Programme. Five participants in Singapore will test the mattress over 20 nights in their own homes, receiving a $2,000 cash voucher and keeping the mattress in exchange for honest reviews, photos, and video logs. Applications are open from September 8 to September 15, 2026, with the trial running from September 29 to October 18, 2026.
