Coverings, North America’s largest international tile and stone event, will return to Orlando, Florida, April 6–9, 2027, at the Orange County Convention Center, officials announced. The show will mark the start of a three-year commitment to host the event in Orlando, creating a multi-year opportunity for professionals in the tile, stone, design, and construction sectors to gather.
New opportunities for professionals
Organizers say the event will focus on product innovation, networking, and business growth. “Coverings is where the entire tile and stone ecosystem — from distributors, dealers, retailers and installers to architects, designers, builders, remodelers and fabricators — comes together,” said Jamie Rich, Coverings’ managing director. “Bringing Coverings back to Orlando for 2027, and continuing that momentum through the 2028 and 2029 shows, creates an exciting multi-year opportunity to unite the global tile and stone community.”
Registration for the 2027 show opens in early November 2026. The event will host the Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards and the Rock Stars program.
Celebrating design and installation excellence
The Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards honor achievements in ceramic tile and natural stone installation and design across residential, institutional, and commercial projects. Submissions are open through Dec. 3, 2026. Eligible projects must be completed between January 2025 and December 2026. Entrants may submit up to three projects, and each project can be entered in multiple categories if it meets the relevant criteria.

Judging covers 11 categories, including Commercial Ceramic Tile Design, Residential Ceramic Tile Installation, and Artistic Installation. The winners will be celebrated at a ceremony during Coverings 2027. Winning projects will be featured onsite and receive recognition through the show’s website and social media channels, along with a $200 gift card to help cover travel expenses.
The Coverings Rock Stars program, now in its 13th year, recognizes professionals under the age of 35 who demonstrate leadership, career growth, and industry involvement. Nominations for the program open Dec. 3, 2026, and can be submitted online. Selected Rock Stars will receive industry accolades, a $200 gift card for attending Coverings, and a free pass to the show.
While the logistics and dates for the 2028 and 2029 editions are not yet finalized, the multi-year arrangement suggests a stable schedule for the industry’s largest tile and stone gathering. If the show continues to grow its footprint in Orlando, it could become a permanent fixture in the spring calendar for design and construction professionals, similar to how other major trade shows have consolidated in specific regions over time.
On-site ceremonies for both the Rock Stars and CID Awards are open to all attendees, giving showgoers a chance to celebrate the professionals and projects making an impact across the industry.
